Our mission
Encounter across
inherited divisions.
Our mission is to use artistic practice, travel, research, education and public exchange to create encounters across geographical, political, social and imaginative borders.
We seek to transcend the illusion of separation and humanize borders: bringing artists and publics into relation, supporting collective learning and enabling experiences and knowledge to travel beyond the places in which they began.

Invisible Borders Trans-African Photographers Organisation’s charitable activities are supported through the Invisible Borders Trans-African Initiative, fiscally sponsored by Social Good Fund, a U.S.-based nonprofit fiscal sponsor and California-registered 501(c)(3) public charity.
Through this fiscal sponsorship, Social Good Fund provides charitable oversight and administration for the initiative’s approved charitable purposes. Funds received by Social Good Fund for the project are held in a restricted project fund, subject to Social Good Fund’s discretion and oversight.
Invisible Borders remains an independently registered Nigerian organisation, as detailed above. The 501(c)(3) status belongs to Social Good Fund; fiscal sponsorship does not make Invisible Borders a U.S. 501(c)(3) organisation.
