Invisible Borders Journal

Research, reflection
and multimedia publishing.

Invisible Borders Journal is the research and publication arm of Invisible Borders. It publishes selected and commissioned work by artists, writers, researchers and filmmakers. It is a space for sustained attention—for ideas and artistic propositions that require more time than the conventional news cycle allows.

First publication

Editorial position

Published because
it contributes.

IBJ is not a conventional institutional blog. It publishes work because it contributes to an ongoing field of inquiry—not simply because it is recent.

Some contributions emerge from Invisible Borders projects; others are selected or commissioned for the questions they bring into the wider conversation.

The horizon

Writing is only
one form of thought.

IBJ will also publish visual essays, conversations, podcasts, sound works and films—allowing image, voice, text and duration to work together.

Contributions

Selected and
commissioned work.

IBJ works through selected and commissioned contributions rather than open submissions. To reach the editors about a proposition, write to the studio.
