Lagos - Maputo 2018 : Call for Volunteers
We are currently on the lookout for volunteers (from all nationalities) who will like to collaborate with us on making the 8th edition of Invisible Borders Trans-African Road Trip: Lagos to Maputo 2018 a reality. These individuals will REMOTELY assist us in the planning and execution of the Lagos to Maputo road trip which cuts through Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique.

Positions Available:
- Translators: English to French, English to Portuguese and English to Swahili.
- The translators will:
- Help with translation for documents related to the project.
- Help with translation of all correspondence and writings created by the artists during the Road Trip, on the go.
- The translators will:
- Social Media Manager
- The social media manager will:
- Be in charge of disseminating information on all Invisible Borders’ Social Media channels.
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor engagements.
- Seed content into social networks.
- Curate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news).
- Design and implement social media strategy.
- The social media manager will:
- Project Managers: Central African Republic (CAR), Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
- The project managers will:
- Help in the effort to find partners/sponsors related to our activities in their country and region and also act as a liaison between Invisible Borders and potential partners, artists and art institution.
- Help with finding a host institution/persons for our presence in all the indicated stops and cities in their country or region.
- Work hand in hand with Invisible Borders to plan every detail of the project in their country and region.
- The project managers will:
- Research Assistant
- The research assistants will:
- Be responsible for researching, collecting and collating research materials (documents, archives, correspondence) related to specific areas of interests for the Lagos-Maputo 2018 Road Trip.
- Work hand in hand with the Director of Publications and Artistic Director of Invisible Borders. Candidates who are multilingual, with good command of English are highly encouraged to apply. The same goes for applicants with substantial knowledge of the history of Africa, global affairs, and contemporary discourses.
