Ala Kheir

Ala Kheir (Ala Eldin Abdalla) was born in Nyala, West of Sudan on April 1st 1985. Since secondary school photography has been an obsession for him.

However, 2005 was the real start when he started reading in depth about photography and purchased his first SLR. With very little planning and encouragement of friends and admirers , Ala Kheir has transformed from being someone who just owns a camera to be a photography enthusiast that keeps and learning and trying different ideas and styles of photography. His photographic scope covers a wide range of subjects and styles with an aim of self-reflection. Ala kheir has been active in developing the Sudanese Photographers Group which promotes the works of photographers from the region on global scale. He is currently living and working in Khartoum

  • 2nd place winner of the World Bank climate change photo 2012
  • 2nd place winner of “Our continent our future” photo competition 2013
