“My sixth day in Malaga Spain and in Europe for the first time. I’m offered a free ticket of 45 euros to go see bull fighting. At first I’m hesitant as my Spanish friend Javier asked me if I was aware the bull will be killed, I was shocked and said no; as he noticed my enthusiasm dropped he further told me it will be a good experience for me to see it as it is a big part of the Spanish culture.
I finally made it to the bullfight and watched six bulls been tortured and killed in the crowd of thousands.
As I tried to digest this culture shock the next day I wanted to go back to the arena and try to speak to people going to see another bull fight and I came across a group that was staging a peaceful protest against bull fighting in Spain and I spent the rest of my day photographing and chatting with them.
